Quality Control method for Background Sample Preparation
Dispense 10 mL Ultima Gold LLT sample into a 20 mL plastic vial. Prepare three separate samples.
To each sample add 10mL "dead water" and shake to form a clear mixture.
Place the vials in the LSC counter at 14 to 16 Celsius and leave for 3 hours to temperature and light adapt.

Specification
Ultima Gold LLT sample background in all three counting windows must be less than that shown by the standard Insta-Gel Plus prepared and counted under the same conditions.
